The folks from GGM are doing a great job. Their Lake Placid and Saranac Lake Winter Trails Map is excellent. Can't wait to see what their next project focuses on.

I heard on Footstuff from a GGM associate that they make a "bigfoot sightings" map. I went to research it and purchase one but couldn't find it anywhere. Maybe it's in the works. I guess the idea stems from Whitehall being a bigfoot sighting hotspot, haha. I'm not a huge bigfoot believer but I figured with all the serious maps I own this would be just plain fun. Very odd though. The lady on the podcast clearly says its available yet have never been able to locate it.

GGM doesn't make one but if you contact Janelle she'll tell you where to find the map that lists the sightings. I'm not a believer either but its a fun map to have around.

Here are the quickie versions my Adirondack Bigfoot stories:

        * Ran into a guy on top of Pillsbury Mt a few years back who said the area was home to a few sightings.
        * Met a rather notable (in the Bigfoot community) Adirondack Bigfoot researcher who after some coaxing revealed the exact location of his encounter to be near Dacy Clearing on the Eastern side of Lake George. Which puts it on one of the most heavily traveled hiking trails around Lake George and within a days walk from Whitehall, which yes, is a Bigfoot hotspot.
        * Whitehall has an annual Bigfoot Festival that I've attended twice. The folks there are true believers. Forum member and sometimes hiking partner FWCIII (aka The Walking Fred) finished second in the Bigfoot Calling Contest at the festival this past fall.

If Bigfoot stuff interests you there's a long-running thread over on the sister forum with lots of info... http://www.adkforum.com/showthread.p...hlight=bigfoot

salt if you find the map shoot me a PM with the details. Would love to see it. I'm a wanna-believer/ 99% skeptic who loves all things Bigfoot.

Makwa salt If either of you are interersted in the 'Squatch maps, they are produced by https://www.vermontmarbleandgranite.com/ using local historical data and information collected from https://www.bfro.net/gdb/

Thanks. That's the place up in Whitehall with the giant Sasquatch sculpture out front.

Makwa It sure is. As many times as I've driven past that place since they put the 'Squatch out front, it has never occurred to me to stop and go inside.
