  • 8/15 Armstrong, Upper and Lower Wolf Jaw

Today I decided to do a nice easy loop, take my time doing it, and soak in the sights. I signed into the register about 5am, walked a good part of Lake Rd, and entered the Beaver Meadow Trail just as it was getting light out. Filled up on the 2 liters of water I'd need at the bridge.

Reaching the bottome of the Wedge Brook, I took the West River Trail back to the register. Caught a glimpse of Giant somewhere on that trail.

Signed out at 12:30. Looking back, it was another great day to be out. Low humidity and no bugs. Just a really relaxing walk in the woods today.

-Met a guy doing all of the great range in one day. He had 5 under his belt when I ran into him. He started at 2am.
-Really nice young lady on Lower Wolf peak with her dog. She let the dog roam free, but a lady up there quickly asked her to keep hold of her dog. The dog was completely calm and well behaved, but I guess we have to respect the rights of non-dog lovers (and the rules).

Thanks for looking again. Can't wait for the next adventure!!!

Looks like a great day in the woods! I love that spot on the West River trail where Giant peaks through the trees. Especially nice on a clear winter day. Which peaks have you got left?

Yeah, that was an added treat. I've just got the Dix Range, Saddleback, and Gothics left. I wanted to finish on my 50th birthday, but have to work that day. :(
