Was itching for a longer hike so I decided to take on Colden from the Loj next week. I’ve read a few horror stories about Colden the rain. Should it be a no-go or a typical go slow/be smart/you’ll be fine type of peak. Thanks for any insights!

I’m not sure what you’ve seen. Near and around Lake Arnold it’s messy. There’s probably some mud near the summit too. It may slow you a little. It’s not as bad as it is when continuing toward Feldspar Brook. -
marshalls06 Perhaps you're reading a trip report that you should avoid Colden via the Trap Dyke if it is wet and raining?Comment

It was more the summit area itself and how "hard" it is to climb if wet. Reviews on Alltrails (or probably AI versus reality). Just wanted to make sure it wasn't one of those "avoid at all cost" peaks in the rain (which it doesn't sound like).Comment
