    Ski News

9 skiers have completed the Johannsen Last Call this season, with the most recent completing it as a yo-yo (starting and ending at the Cascade Welcome Center), for a total of 59 miles and 15k elevation, in just under 17 1/2 hours. A big congrats to Bill Frazer for a huge day on skis.

In other news, a large avalanche was caught in Tuckerman's Ravine on one of the Mt. Washington Observatory webcams. The video, easily searchable on social media, shows a snowboarder managing to outrun it in what was probably one of the wildest "send it" moments of his/her life. Be careful out there.
My mind was wandering like the wild geese in the west.

Avalanche in Trap Dike on 3/11 too. Saw pic in Adirondack Almanac. Nowhere near the one at Tuckermans. But bet no one would have wanted to be there when it happened.
