  • Good read

I am currently reading https://www.amazon.com/At-Mercy-Moun.../dp/B01C7VVSZA. A very good read I can’t put it down. Learning lots of new things like the chapel pond slab and the stories are just so fascinating to me and serve as a great reminder to never underestimate nature and to always be prepared

    Solid read.
My mind was wandering like the wild geese in the west.

Great book. I took it out from the library a few years ago and enjoyed it.

A friend scored a copy and intended to give it to me but left it at the bar a few years ago... I should see if it's still there.

        Agreed... great book.

Once you finish it try these two out about hiking disasters in the Whites:

        Not Without Peril https://www.amazon.com/Not-Without-P.../dp/1934028320

Where You'll Find Me: Risk, Decisions, and the Last Climb of Kate Matrosova
        https://www.amazon.com/Where-Youll-F...ks%2C67&sr=1-1

And then of course Jon Krakauer's account of the 1996 disaster on Everest is a must read... Into Thin Air
        https://www.amazon.com/Into-Thin-Air.../dp/0385494785

And the most amazing story is Touching the Void. Both a book and a documentary. The doc is fantastic and highly recommended. I haven't yet read the book.

This is a great read too. A lot of it is kind of a basic psychology textbook but its cool how Ty Gagne uses it to explain Matrosova's presumed state of mind during her ordeal.
