    That thin thin layer of ice on the rocks of a slide at this time of the year can be treacherous!

    OTOH, frozen blueberries are a treat. Jean-René & I found them both on the slide on Grace a few years ago.

    When the ice starts melting, it looks like water. Many spots ARE water, but some that had been in the shade earlier still have slippery bits.

    Cold here too. Hope my plants don't freeze tonight.

    I'm in placid right now, and you can definitely say the frost is on the pumpkin tonight. Brrrrrrrrrrr.

    I see that the predicted low for tonight in Lake Placid is in the 20's. That would mean low 20's at slide height. That could give a whole new meaning to the word "slide". I'm sure the slide season isn't over yet but sunny afternoons (and watching the weather even more closely) may be the order of the day.
