Great Range Slides

Speaking of the slides on Dix...

Many opportunities to bag the great range peaks via slides. The only one that I am unsure of is Haystack. All the others have slides.

If I remember correctly, there is a slide on the east side of Haystack, but it doesn't go anywhere near the top of the mountain.

TTBOMK, no slides on Haystack, but plenty of open rock. An attempt from Panther Gorge has always fascinated me.

It would be a nice hike to spot a car at the Garden, drive to Elk Lake, bushwhack up HS, bushwhack down HS, up and around Basin to top of the Basin slides, go down one of them and then up the Saddleback slide and call it a day. Hike out to the Garden and get the car at EL.

An early start and an extra jam sandwich would be recommended.
