Attention GPS users (Catskills)

Reposted from the Catskill 3500 Club Yahoo! group:

The New York New Jersey Trail Conference is currently working on
updating the Catskill Map Set. This version will be totally digital
and promises to be even more accurate than past versions. It's been
quite some time since the last version and many of the new trails need
to be measured as well.

If you plan on hiking this spring and summer, and know how to use a
GPS unit; please contact me at gjdagis@hvc.rr.com. I will send you
information on what the standards are regarding the data. After this
we can discuss the areas we need mapped and what places you may wish
to hike and gather this data.

We cannot produce this map set without volunteer assistance so please
consider helping all of the hikers in the Catskill region by your efforts.

Sincerely,
George J. Dagis
Catskill Map Coordinator
