Blackhead--New 35'ers at 8 and 11

I'll let others tell the whole story. Simply put Judy and I, David and Shiloh, shared an incredible day with a group of great friends to help celebrate Fiona and AJ completing their 35'er quest on Blackhead. It was a perfect day Congratulations to a couple very impressive kids. Outstanding!!!

Wow what a great accomplishment; very young climbers getting it done! Sorry we didn't do this hike with proud Papa, the kids and a bunch of good friends. Excellent pics Bill, as usual. Thanks for sharing. My favorites are #10,26, and 35. Look forward to their next adventures!

Big congrats to Fiona and AJ! A big feat for little feet. Seems like they were just kids only yesterday...
...oh wait, they're still just kids! Like I said, big congrats! Oh, and Al, yeah he's okay too I guess.

Wheee, what a fun hike, was happy that we all had a great day to be out, blue skies, great company, great views, great finishers, lots of squeeking to be had all day. Even got a chance to toss some snowballs around with David and have little avalanches from the summit rock on Blackhead....

I'm not sure if I can get used to hikes ending at 2pmish, but it sure was nice and to see Tony and Nicole at the end was cool...

I'll check out the photos when I'm at home.

I tried to think of something humorous to say here, but everything I could think of probably would have landed me in a world of trouble. So I'll just say that Joanne IS in the picture, behind David!

Wow
I first want to thank all of you for coming out and hiking with us on this special day. You all made the day extra special. Tony and Nicole a big thank you for coming out to congratulate the kids at the trail head that was wonderful.

We have been working on this for most of AJ life literally.
I first took them on a hike when AJ was still in diapers boy was that fun.
I have many great memories so far; some really happy times and some not so happy times. It is a good thing the kids are resilient and don't remember the bad trips as much any more, another big plus to starting them early.
We have learned many lessons out their on the trails and I want to thank my two wonderful kids for putting up with me and hanging in there when they weren't having fun. It was a real pleasure re-hiking these wonderful peaks and seeing them for the first time through their eyes. They have taught me as much as I hope I have taught them

Again thank you all for being a part of this wonderful day.

Cindy, Fiona wants me to let you know she loves hiking with you and David let us know when you are hiking and the kids would love to tag along.
Alan, Dick, Joanne and Bookah let us know when we can join your finish
Al

Al, tell Fiona I enjoyed hiking with her too; she squeaks; I love it. I always enjoy hiking with the kids, they are so much fun. It was just a great day all around; great group!!!!

Great pictures Al, thanks for sharing. Wow, some nice pics of the dogs, oh and the kids.

Day of the dinner we are planning to hike. I am planning on hiking with David(Coldfeet) and we will be doing something on the easy side with little elevation and short miles. Watch for a post as the time nears, should be something the whole family can join in on.

Happy Trails - Cindy

Al,

Just a superlative day...weather, company, views, and the big finale. You should be rightfully proud of your children. Great kids and a signal accomplishment.
Maybe time for the 3 of you to join us on the Cat100's.

Thanks for the invitation to share this great day with you and your family.

Alan
