Job hunter

Did anyone hear the one about the out of work bushwhacker who walked into the DEC office in Ray Brook and asked if there were any openings?

They told him things were pretty tight in the Sawtooth Range but there might be more openings around Indian Lake.

Then the DEC human resources manager said to the guy that there was an exam he had to pass and he should be sure and brush up on his material.
"What about my appearance?" asked he. "Yeah, you might want to spruce yourself up a bit."

More hops....I think I get it. You put hops in beer right? And a rabbit hops. Yeah I do get it! Hops. That's real funny, honey.

Our out of work bushwhacker is still down on his luck. He went to another Management Unit but it was the wrong branch. I think he feels the DEC is needling him.

well if the Bush Wacker gets bummed cause he's not getting able to put any roots down, he can take a load off and go see the bunnies at the bar....he should ask for a bud.....

The problem with the wayward job applicant is that he cannot see the forest for the trees

I thinks he's just barking up the wrong tree. He should stop pineing about it and turn over a new leaf .
On the trail of life you, have to learn to step over the roots.
If he’d learn to “ferret out” the good job leads, he’d realize there’s a mountain of opportunity.

DEC is also reviewing resumes for a forester position, since the last guy got the axe. They say there isn't a clear cut answer as to who is the best candidate.

That's because they are so selective. They want to weed out the weaker candidates before they take root in the Department.

After a particualry rough interview where our hapless job hunter was stumped by nearly every question he decided to make like the trees and leave.
