Grafton Lakes / Brown's (VnBs) 4/9/6
We had a great day! 6 people showed up for this hike. There wasn't a
cloud in the sky all day, so the views were great. We could see all the way to the snow-capped high peaks of the Adirondacks! The hike was about 45 minutes each way. It was mostly on old roads, but that was ok. There weren't really any signs, but we managed to put our heads together and find Dickinson Hill fire tower. The roads were a little wet, but only 'Bingo' (the dog) got wet. Andy taught us how to whistle with an acorn. The frogs were really out in force. And we heard an owl off in the distance. After the views, came the brews! Brown's has some great beers. Weenjoyed the Porter, Stout, Pale Ale, Brown, and 'Hef' (sp?). |

This is a Views and Brews hike I might actually do one of these days. My dad lives in Troy and he sometimes goes to Grafton Lakes. I'll keep it in mind.
