Totally typical weekend in the Sewards in January.

Road was plowed. There were about 6 sedans in the lot, including our Honda civic. The herdpaths were clear, easy to follow and all went in non-circuitous routes to the summits. It was in the upper (?) 20s with little wind.

We did DES yesterday via Caulkin's brook. It was lovely.

We did Seymour today. It was a long walk to a steep mountain. And then a very long walk back to the car.

Did I mention Seymour was a long walk?

Russ... I don't know your screen name on here. Time to stop stalking me in the mountains How many more? 1 or 2 or so? I forget what you said last week on Marshall.

Here are some pictures. The trail to Seymour was too long to take pictures of.

Thanks to all the people who broke out those trails.

2 more left until I get my 46W-in-spite-of-myself sticker.

Congratulations! Glad to know so many are getting these "Beasts" out of the way. Also nice to hear that they believe Seymour is a long way in and those last 1000' steep. Out group got all of them last Saturday and Sunday. Thank heavens that the road to the summer lot has been kept open. Again, way too go!!

Russ - I like the shot with the sun on the walk in. What mountain was it that you have that very-zoomed in picture of? Is that Marcy?

Good luck on your finish - if its cloudy make sure to get to the real summit so you avoid a 30 post discussion on whether you made the real summit

Way to go! Good to get those 'corey's road' mountains done. You had a beautiful day and the photos show it! Did you stay at Saheen's in Tupper? I think I recognize those curtains Best of luck with your finish!!! Happy Trails!

Congrats, Laura, on tackling the Sewards and achieving #44 . When and where's the big finish?
