Dun Brook. Any progress on this?
The following was brought to my attention this morning and I was curious if anyone is aware of the potential access mentioned in the article becoming reality.
The quoted material is from this link dated June 2011. Quote:

Is this for real? I'm going to Indian Lake next weekend, would sure like to "tag" Dun Brook while in the area (might still be too early though?)

Most likely will be a few more years before there is public access.

I'm a bit confused though, as I've been seeing more and more Nature Conservancy advertisements online showing a zoomed-in photo of Gothics from the Boreas Ponds with the caption "New places to explore coming soon" (or something like that). Based on these adds I have naturally assumed that the deal between the state and TNC to transfer the 65K acres is almost finalized. Throughout this transfer process, both parties involved have been vague at best when predicting the time line, etc. I was hoping to finally get some closure (and to paddle the Boreas Ponds). |
