The purpose of ADKHighpeaks forum is to provide a friendly and respectful meeting place requiring little or no moderation for an intimate community of both experienced and novice Adirondack hikers who share a love and respect for the Adirondack Mountains and wilderness. Information, opinions, advice, aid with trip planning , hiking partners and a helping hand are all to be found here throughout the year. The forum also serves as a platform where discussions involving backcountry regulations and legislative and ecological concerns pertaining to the Adirondack Park are encouraged. In addition to hiking the 46 high peaks, outdoor activities featured here include but are not limited to slide climbing, off-trail hiking and climbing the Adirondack hundred highest summits.
