Joining the Foundation

The easiest way to support the Foundation and this online community is to become a member. Membership has several advantages and as we grow, we hope to add even more. We hope that all of you who visit will take a few minutes to join today.  Membership dues are considered donations to the foundation and are tax deductible. The annual membership donation is $9.99.

Membership Benifits

There are many reasons to join the foundation and the following are just a few;

1. The Cause – Your membership contributions will help raise money that we will put directly back into the wilderness areas that we so cherish. We are non-profit organization, so none of our members make a profit on this. The money goes to keep the forums running or RIGHT BACK into the wilderness. Win/Win all the way arround.
2. The Forums Themself – Both Adkhighpeaks and ADKForum are owned and run by the foundation. As with any online website or service, there are costs and fees associated with hosting and running it. Your membership donations go to keep these two incredible online educational resources operating and available to the public. This includes continued upgrades and improvements. For many, this alone is worth the small price of membership.
3. Expanded Forums – Once you become a member of the Foundation, you gain access to an expanded forums area. This area serves 2 purposes: to conduct Foundation business away from the general forum, and, just as important, to provide a social gathering spot to discuss any numbers of topics. Moderation is slightly more relaxed in there so conversations may be a tad off-topic and livelier at times. Still very respectful.
4. Voice and Vote on Foundation matters – Per our by-laws, any member in good standing, has voice and voting rights on how the foundation will disseminate proceeds or what projects we will support as well as other general forum activities (fundraisers, gatherings, etc..). It’s “our” collective money, so we should all have a say in how we use it. Members will also have voice, but no vote at any board of director meeting, which will allow you to become involved in shaping the future of the foundation.
5. Newsletters – We will be putting out a newsletter at least twice a year to members. These fun and informative publications will allow for us to put out some valuable information and perhaps even let some of our more creative members entertain us.
6. Membership Identification– You will receive special membership cards showing your support of the Foundation and our mission.

As you can see, for $10-$15 bucks a year, you get all this. That is not too bad at all. Look for even more surprises and benefits to come in the near future.

Joining the Foundation is very easy. Just follow the steps below that apply to you.

Adkhighpeaks Forum Members:

1) Navigate to: UserCP --> Your Control Panel (left side) --> Miscellaneous
2) Select Paid Subscriptions.
3) Under Available Subscriptions, select Foundation Membership (1 year).
4) Follow the instructions*

* - Please note that we use PayPal and it is okay if you do not have a PayPal account, just use the "Don't have a PayPal account?" instructions near the bottom.

Non-Forum Members:

1) Use this subscribe icon below and follow instructions. Please Note - This will not give you the added fourm membership benifits. To get them , you must be a member of the forums.

Please note that if you join the foundation as a member of ADKhighpeaks, you will also get membership privledges over at ADKFourm as well if you are a member there. If you are not activated in the new forum within a day or two, please email me at;
