    The last 6 inches of snow did not stick to the somewhat slippery crust, after the freezing rain. So, your ideal footwear would be high traction snowshoes. But if its too precipitous, you could need crampons. Be careful out there. Don't slide for a long distance and get your knee caught in the crotch of a fir tree. If the crampons are long enough and pointy enough on your snowshoes, you might not even know its slippery.
    I might be kidding...
