I want to take a moment to thank KV Streamer for taking on this project for us this year. As many of you are aware the Calendars have been a lot of fun over the years and we enjoyed the participation of all the talented photographers who submitted photos and all who took the time to vote on them. Last year we were unable to produce a calendar for several reasons but mostly the logistics involved in production, a service that had been provided for free for us, just did not align. We also had been experiencing a decline in year over year sales that was bordering on the project being less cost effective and ran the risk of losing money rather than being a fundraiser as the minimum number we could produce at an acceptable return is 200 units.

This years response to both the photo contest and interest in purchasing the calendars lead us to make a decision to forego the calendar again this year as it seemed imminent that we would definitely risk losing money. We felt badly about this decision and had been looking into ways that people could purchase the beautiful calendars direct from a vendor that would not net the Foundation any money but would reward those who had participated. We then learned that KV Streamer had taken the initiative and risk of producing and purchasing the calendars on her time and with her money and then offering to make a donation to the Foundation.

From experience I can tell you the time and effort alone to produce, purchase, take orders and ship the calendars is no small thing. Her willingness to do so is greatly appreciated and on behalf of Neil, Geoff, Scott, Tim and Myself we are truly thankful.
