  • Whiteface from Whiteface Landing

Made the climb this past Sunday. No need to discuss the hike itself because many have done it before me (including myself!!!). What I did want to say is that the trail was much drier then I expected. Other then a couple of minor muddy spots prior to reaching the lean to, the trail was in very good condition. Very little instances of water running down the trail. The rock face was wet of course, but even it was not overly difficult to deal with. I have been on a whole lot of trails substantially more wet and muddy then my hike Sunday.
It's not about winning, but the rivers you cross.

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be an uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose
Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waitin' on the other side...

Thanks! Might have to make a trip there this weekend as a group of us is renting a place in Wilmington.

If you have two cars, do a through hike from Whiteface Landing to Wilmington Reservoir.
