Stayed at the Annex in 2009 the night before doing the Dixes with ADKdremn and Viewseeker. It was just about perfect for my needs on that occasion, and had alternative arrangements not materialized, I would have been happy to use it again when I went back for the Santas and Allen.

There are several motels in Schroon Lake, the Maple Leaf is our preferred one, too. Pitkinís Restaurant back in town for supper.

The Maple Leaf has microwave ovens so you can heat up your breakfast.

Itís only about 45 minutes to Upper Works, so not too bad.

Thanks to Yvon for finding out that Aunt Polly's Annex is still around. I made reservations there for our upcoming trip to that region on May 22-25.
45 minutes in the evening is OK, so we might go to Schroon Lake or Long Lake for dinner, but I really want to be close in the AM.
