I just noticed that when I view users online it now dispays their IP addresses. Am I suppose to be seeing that? I am not a computer Guru but is that such a good idea :D

Thanks,
Adam

I click on "currently active users" and then it displays everyone online and to the far right of the screen it says "IP Address" next to every user online and I see their addresses.

Does that make sense? And no I do not see that icon.

Thanks Neil! I do not see it now! I have just heard that computer hackers can tap in to your PC from IP Addresses and I have enough of a problem now with spyware and garbage coming through my firewall and stuff :D

It was just a group of about 15 people that had it. It's not that much of a security risk, but thanks for bringing it to us.

That was a good question and I was wondering it myself last night when I clicked on the who's online option.
Sort of like the person on ADKForum who displays my IP address in his signature line when I view his posts.

Only 15...does that make me special? :D ;)

Not that. It's other things that make you special.

Special...as in I can disrupt cell phone service with a head nod, cause GPSes to give southern latitudes if I look at them cross eyed, and my EDL chip probably will spit out that I'm some guy with seven birthdays named Pete.

Oh, I need to get back in the mountains. This virtual hiking just doesn't cut it.

Special...as in I can .....Yeah These days, the word "special" means a lot more than it used to....For example, "Special Phys Ed class for children with no feet."

It used to be a compliment when someone said you were special.
