First off, thanx to all who threw me the beta for this trip! It was a GREAT one.

Started a lil' late from the Garden around 9:40am. Took about 20min to cross the brook cause the water was ROARING! Southside trail was a swamp but fun. Made it to bennies brook by 11. Had NO problem finding it. There was a "SMALL" cairn on it and the other info checked out.

Set off up the bank and foolowed the ski cut with no problems...as a side not: Open trees + nice steepness + dreams of powder = DROOLING THE WHOLE WAY UP! Come on winter!

Anyway, hit the base of the slide in about 20min. This was so EASY! This wasnt even a bushwhack...finding the right stream is harder.

Started up the slide w/ some ice and snow and slippery rock...fun. We just had to stick to the sides and there were no problems. Once we cleared the "middle" headwall, it was smooth going to the very top and out to the ridge trail. Summited, then down to the bridge at the interior outpost....which was closed. Had to cross under it/over the little waterfall, which was a little scetchy but fun!Headed out the JBL trail from the outpost and hit the Garden in about an hour 10min.

ALL in all an amazing day. Bluebird till about noon then just overcast. This slide has me so amped for ski season!

A fix of snow for Affix Snow.

Looks like you broke the curse on Bennies. Nice going.
