When I'm close to my quota I download all my PM's to my computer as a text file before deleting them. I've saved every PM sent/received that way.

You know, it's not that hard to write a script that logs on, checks you PM's, and if there are any there, downloads, reformats, tags, and puts it in your regular mail..... Not useful for people who are on here almost constantly (no names), but if you're occasional dropping by (all I have time for these days), it may be more practical.
