Redfield Slide

Has anyone hiked/climbed/skied or even attemped to get close to the slide on the south side of Redfield? I see this slide from the way up Allen and wonder if it is climbable. Anyone have a picture to share?

Last year, MudRat and I ascended the NW drainage on the opposite side of the mountain, and whacked the ridgeline to the summit. It is gnarly-thick up there. I remember seeing the top of the slide through the trees, and it appeared VERY steep.

I've never been on it but know it to be climbable.

Some info here (http://www.adkhighpeaks.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2229&highlight=redfield). The timing didn’t work out (at the time) for me to complete this loop although it’s still on my list. If you do the slide I’d be interested in seeing pictures. :)
