Last week we were talking about the swap of Finch, Pruyn land that would make the ascent of the Twin Slide on Santanoni possible. Today, the Nature Conservancy announced that it has bought all 161,000 acres of Finch, Pruyn land. The public will not have access to the lands immediately, but perhaps someday we'll be able to take a direct route to the Twin Slide. I plan to write a story about the deal in our next issue. Stay tuned for details.
