Hiking gear stores in Plattsgurgh?

Is there a store in Plattsburgh that sells ultralite hiking gear? Specifically, packs? I've been shopping on-line and reading threads but it would be nice to try somerthing on.

Burlington has an EMS Plattsburgh does not. I don't know what else may be in plattsburgh.

There's Gander Mountain, Wooden Ski and Wheel.

Not sure if they have ultralite gear or not, but you may want to check out Viking Ski and Snowbard shop on Route 3.

Wooden Ski and Wheel on RT 9 headed south out of town is your absolute best bet. I live right around the corner from them and have always been impressed with their approach to buisness. They are family owned and oriented and carry gear in all price ranges, as opposed to most shops in the nearby, self-proclaimed "Winter Capital of NY". They just added Osprey packs to their inventory, and I was poking through them the other day and found one that I may have to give a home to. Definately stop in, you'll like 'em. As far as other shops in town go, Viking isn't very hiking oriented, Maui North is basically a Burton shop (burton's packs fall apart quickly), and Gander Mtn actually has a pretty good hiking section (must be due to Spence's input)... Although I still tend to go local and support WS&W.
