I just finished updating my hiking log from 2006 and thought I’d share the results on the NE115 data. It’s interesting how close NH and NY are. I wonder how they did that. :)

If anyone else has tracked mileage/elevation for a round of ADK46, it would be interesting to compare your data based upon your grouping of peaks.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaPeaks---Trips----Mileage----Elevation Gain

***North East ***--------115------49------586-------190,895
**** New Hampshire****--48-------20------216-------76,490
**** Maine ****----------14--------9------109-------30,311
**** Vermont ****--------5---------5------37--------13,325
**** New York ****-------48-------15------224-------70,769

Caveats:
1. Mileage/Elevation gains were taken from Topo after downloading tracks from a GPS. Mileage was adjusted for the Topo factor.
2. All outing were done as day hikes, except the NH presidential range was done as an overnighter.
3. Some outings were done in winter conditions therefore distances may be longer due to road closures.
4. Some outings’ mileage/elevation gain includes NEHH peaks where they didn’t distract significantly from the NE115 goal.

That compares closely with my stats, about 10 miles per trip and about 6 miles per peak. I didn't keep track of the elevation gain. Welcome to the club! :D

Hey ElectricMan,

How you doing??

My recorded stats for the Dacks 46.
Two trips were overnight backpacks, the rest were dayhikes.

15 total hiking days
207 total miles
70,213 total ft elevation gain

My first round of the 46 was in 188 miles. That seemed a bit low to me so I double checked and yeah, 188 miles. Not sure about elevation gain. Mostly day trips....a few overnights.......I did this round in 12 weeks......so I maximized time in the woods to get the most peaks in each day: ex: all the dix's in one day,....phelps, tabletop, marcy, skylight, gray and colden in a day. Super long days with many miles.
