Thanks, and to all of you as well. Whatever your plans may bring for the new year, we hope that the new year finds you safe, warm and with those you love.

As I do every year, I ask that you take a moment or two in your festive celebrations of the next few days to remember those that have "fallen in sacrifice" over the last 12 months. I, of course, not only mean our American serviceman, but our CANADIAN (http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/afghanistan/casualties/total.html) brothers and sisters too. They serve (and give) so nobly as well.

Happy New Year to all! I for one am very happy as I managed to end 2006 hiking in for a night hike and fire, and start 2007 with a hike out. Why else would I be posting this at 1:40 in the morning! Makes the 55 pound pack of wood all worthwhile!
