is the fire truck trail parking still available as an alternative to the adk fee lot?
any help appreciated...haven't been up there in quite a while.

Yes it is. I call it South Meadows. Its the dirt road on your left before you get to the Loj. I am not sure the name of the dirt road. Have fun!
