Hunter Mt w/ Short legs

Well David decided that he was bored at Grandma's so he asked if we could go to Hunter Mt and climb the firetower. I figured it was a good choice for a 95 degree day--an easy hike--hopefully w/ some breeze at the tower. Well it was a quick up and down the Spruceton Trail--9:30--1:15--shortlegs were pumpin! A good day all in all--lots of toads, a big frog, a snake that smelled awful :eek: , lots of butterflys and to top it all off some great (if a little hazy) views and a porkypine! :tup:

I hiked Hunter on 7/7. Went up Diamond Notch to Devils Path and down the Spruceton Trail, luckily did not run into bear! :eek: Depressing to see the leanto reduced to ashes, hope it will be rebuilt sometime soon.
