Snow and rain hit the High Peaks area Saturday and Sunday nights. At my place in Keene at 1750 ft, we had about 2" of wet snow Saturday night (none in the valley), then more snow and rain Sunday night, totaling about 5". My driveway is currently covered with a heavy slop of snow and water. I got down it this morning in the Forester but cannot go up.

Keene and Keene Valley along Rt 73 had less accumulation, probably 2-3" total (greater proportion of rain) and the Ausable is running high.

With the colder temperature at higher elevations, the peaks probably have a considerable amount of new snow, at least for the next few days.

ENJOY!!!

Interesting- we got maybe an inch at the most last night in Saranac Lake, and that was it. I'm sure the summits got a lot more!

Unlike most "Winter" weather this storm had a very South->North track just like Irene (over NY) moving up the Hudson river valley, tapering off towards Western NY.
