No less than three people commented in another thread about how they felt the article regarding thier own experiences in the 'rescue' section of Adirondac Magazine was poorly charaacterized. Rather than pollute that topic with this discussion I started a new thread for it. I would like to hear from those folks what they felt was taken out of context or blown out of proportion in the coverage thier situations were given. I think thats one of the sections a lot of readers of that publication follow. It would be interesting to hear from those who had experinces that ultimately made it into that section how the account given in print varied from thier own perception of the events.

To be fair, the incident Dunbar and I mentioned were the same incident. He just has me to thank for it.:D
I'd prefer to contact you thru PM rather than bring up old news. Through some searching I'm sure you could find what you're looking for.

My take is that with the two incidents mentioned is that with the one involving Dunbar and adkdremn there was was a person giving the author information that sounds very official but will exaggerate up to the point of pure bullshiit that the author now knows to look for and with the one involving NoTrace, he has never liked an article he didn't write, if he did write it he was in love with it.;)

Please do PM me if you care to elaborate. I'm not on a witch hunt or trying to bash Tony or Adirondac in any way. Now that I have thought about it a little I think I know what incident you are referring to. Does it involve sleeping under a tree or am I confusing it with yet another incident? Just curious. Kinda like a Pine Marten and a bag of chips. Even if the bag is empty I'm still interested.
