SS NH48W....the first half

With my good friend JoeCedar blowing up the New England section and my relative silence on the forum this winter season, I thought maybe I would let some people know what I have been up to. For me this whole thing started when CoryD had suggested I go for a SS ADKW46, but that was not my main priority as I am really interested in a NE111 winter round. There is so much that goes into a “project” like this that I do not even know where to start. From figuring out driving times to trailheads in New Hampshire from Vermont, elevation/mileage for given hikes and then pairing with other hikes for maximum efficiency all the while juggling work and starting a new relationship with the most wonderful woman it gets a little hectic. Somehow I am managing to pull it all off, solo to all peaks.....

Beautiful day in the woods and on a great mountain. Only downside was losing my camera case with an extra battery and memory card in it at the trailhead after the hike. Oh well......

Worst winter conditions I have ever hiked in. Had to get off the mountain and not continue south down the ridge to complete the whole range. Makes turning around pretty easy sometimes when it's that bad out.....

The fact that she is super supportive and is always asking me how things are going with my goals (whether she cares or not), texting me when she knows I should be getting done to see how a hike went, etc., she is amazing. The Whites don't hold a candle to her. Seriously.
