What's the scoop on Chicken Coop? We are looking to do Basin and Saddleback on a day hike. How is this approach in summer? Any feedback is appreciated.

Moderatly thick after last Oct. blowdown.I was there in may.Too much water to walk in stream and slide on Sb looked too wet, steep, and slippery, so I did slide up ridge of Basin ( wws or wrong way slide ) then contoured around to Basin Saddleback col.

I came down the slide in March. There is plenty of blow down in the brook, and we had to skirt around either banking.
