I got 'sick' again yesterday after two beautiful days of sitting in an office. So I made a walk-in appointment with Dr. Adk. Went up and climbed Bullhead by walking in the trail towards Puffer Pond then leaving the trail I whacked toward the main summit. Woods were pretty open. I didn't find the views I expected but did find some nice ones. I had planned to search for more open views on my return but it didn't turn out that way. I walked the length of the ridge to the north peak. Pretty easy once off the main peak which is surrounded by some steep cliffs. Not wanting to reclimb them I decided to walk off the side of the mountain until I hit the trail from John Pond to Puffer Pond. This trail is well marked but very faint. I might have missed it were it not for the markers. Looks like it sees very little use. I did this hike with one of my dogs. Too hot for the big dog! There were some black flies that swarmed when I stopped but they didn't seem to be biting. Didn't see any humans all day. Once again saw moose sign in the woods.
