Congrats..............

I'm real good at views........ and even better at brews. One day I will put them together and earm myself another patch ;)

In fact, I think I've informally put myself at 5 right now.

........ and even better at brews. ...
I wonder if anyone is working on the speed record for the V& B patch?

Call it the "Cave Dog Pub Crawl."

Congrats to Tom and Laurie. Something tells me that we won't be seeing #5 for a bit of a while.

As far as we know, there is no one else getting close, so #5 is wide open!

As for speed, just remember, we're talking about speed and drinking alcohol here, that doesn't sound like a great combination! Just take it easy and enjoy the views and brews !!!

I really did discover a lot about New York by researching the sites and going to them. I guess I'm a believer in:

I LOVE NY! :D

Probably no chance in hell I'd complete this list without winding up at a hospital!

Which is why I'm waiting for the Views and Scoops list to come out... ;)

I know you don't drink but there is a NJ chapter of VNBs in the planning... :D

Congrats Tom and Laurie! I'm enjoying a pint of home brew as I write this! :drink: Now that there are a few finishers, it somehow seems more... I dunno, legit or something.

I still have only one from that list under my belt-the Gilded Otter/Wallkill Rail Trail. Of course that one I've done many times, since the Rail Trail is my normal way from my place to the Otter. One of these days I'll try to add some more. Probably Stissing Mt./Hyde Park Brewing would be a logical next one-maybe I'll try to grab that one after work some time. I could try to make it the same night as the next Mid Hudson ADK mixer.

BTW, I agree w/ Tom on the I Love NY sentiment. I realize it's all just an arbitrary, man-made, political boundary, but I've always been fascinated w/ the different areas of our state. Particularly the contrast between the ADKs and NYC and the connection between them created by the Hudson.

If it was Cave Dog, would he still want the Dog Team for support? Would they all just sit around in bars waiting for him, and then end up getting drunk and shirking their responsibilities?

Someone going for the VNB speed record might consider stopping at the brewpub in question, filling their Camelback w/ the beer sample and then drinking it while running the associated hike. This would provide plenty of carbs, but it might also result in gastronomic distress.
