I just got an email about having a private message, and the 'from' line was:
ADKHighPeaks Forums Forums <webmaster@adkhighpeaks.com>

WEBMASTER (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Webmaster) as in webmaster@adkhighpeaks.com is a general mailbox for anyone that may have question related to the operation of the site. It's also the display email for the general forum mailings. It's handy way to differentiate between personal communication and general site related stuff in my mail program.
It's pretty standard on most websites. If you have an technical issues with many websites, if you send something to webmaster@that-site.com you will likely be directing it to the creater/maintainer of the site, which may or may not be people involved with the site conten. In this case, it's me on both counts. I thought that was common internet knowledge? isn't it?
Is that the point of this thread??????
