Neil, I'm replying to your origional post in VFTT about this site. JDMCOX is far superior to the Terraserver site! Your right about it using alot of hard drive, but it is worth it. I haven't had a chance to use the GPS transfer options yet, but I'll let you know.
I downloaded the entire corridor of the Housatonic River, from Pittsfield to Sheffield, about 30 miles. Now I can get a good look at where the little oxbows and backwaters are. THATS where the big pike hang out, and I want to have a little talk with them. Some of these backwaters don't show up on topo maps as such, so this is a great tool.
I had to fool around with it for a while, but I picked it up pretty fast. Have you tried loading the 'Tiger' streets ? It's a great way to locate something onto the grid, without having to download your way over to it. Thanks for the link.

No, what's that?
Maybe the file you D-loaded somehow got corrupted, in which case delete it and start over. If the problem persists then your computer is indeed missing some .dll file. I've had that happen and I wrote the file name down, googled it, found it and installed it in Windows/system and it worked. If that fails you could always e-mail the guy.
