We plan on going this year (Dinner too). We should try to get a ADKHighPeaks table to like they did for the Catskills dinner. Anyone interested?
I'm going to be away in Winnipeg that weekend. Too bad, I was looking forward to it.

Is this meeting only for those who are 46'ers and those that have finished their 46 the previous year? Who is invited?

Anyone who is interested in the Adirondacks. You don't need to be a Forty Sixer to attend. All is welcome.

Easier than the cat supper. Tables are not pre-assigned. SImply get someone to wear a big had, with a chicken on it to be designated as the "Table-getter' As soon as this person arrives, (s)he pickes out a table. The Table-Getter does not let anyone else sit down, unless they know the pass-phrase, which may be something like, "Are you Tim?"
Everyone else, just look for a doofus wearing a chicken hat, sitting at a table, and find the pass-phrase before you get ther.
If I would volunteer to be the table-getter, I would suggest that the pass-phrase would be something like, "Can I buy you a beer, pete?"
BTW, I'll be giving a short talk, "What is wilderness" at the Vespers.

We're going
Then hopefully I finally get to meet you Dick and Joanne. As long as I don't forget to send in my Reservations, I plan on going too.
Gee Pete, thought you could get a hat with an axe on top!

There won't be any formal book signings.I didn't expect that. It's more fun to find them, talk to them, then get it signed. No fun to simply go up to a table.
I lurk more than I post, but I'd be interested in joining such a table.

Then it's settled..... although, we may need to have 2 adkhighpeaks tables at this rate
Hopefully, even Pete, who is obviously embarrassed by all of us, will even stop by {sans the axe of course}. I look forward to seeing / meeting / talking with all of you guys next week. It'll be fun.

It's not that. I just don't want to bring any of you as a date. Both my wives would get upset. You should have seen how it was the last time.... I definately don't want a repeat of that.
I should be around the door as people get in. We'll probably have a table set up trying to get people interested in trailworking.

Pete,
Be sure to wear your pink and green shirt, so we'll all know who you are. Or is it only for special occasions like rainy work hikes?
Tim's going to send us the GPS coordinates of his table so we can walk right to it.

Oh Joe........ I'm so sorry, No GPS data............
It's against the adkhighpeaks.com rules (#7)...........
7) There will be no public posting of specific GPS data for any Adirondack backcountry location. This specifically includes tracklog data. Individual waypoint data is ok so long as multiple waypoint data is is a least .75 miles separate from each other. General verbal route descriptions are fine, but please refrain from specific route data unless it is in the done in a non-puplic way (PM or E-mail). This rule is enacted in an specific attempt to prevent "herd path" formation along specific Adirondack bushwhack routes.
You'll have to use traditional woodcraft skills to find me. I'll offer you a hint though............... Check the Bar :D

........... Check the Bar :DBTW. Just a tip for those wanting to save a bit of money.
Beer does not taste good from a Nalgene. It's worse from a Camelback.
Also... remember. They(not the 46ers) want you to wear shoes there. "For your own safety" The Fall meetings (Keene Central School) are OK if you're barefoot.
BTW. Just a tip for those wanting to save a bit of money.
Beer does not taste good from a Nalgene.
But bourbon, such as Old Crow, does.
