Links to Photo Galleries

I have a suggestion: For those of us who would like to share our photos with the rest of the group. In the member list where we can put a link to our homepage would it also be possible to have a link to our photo gallery? Having the links in a centralized location would be more efficient than each member having to include the link in a post.

There is no way (that I know of) that you can add an extra URL link in the member data area. The easiest way to share is through your signature. just goto UserCP --> Edit Signature (under Control panel options) and use the URL function to link to it. Every post thereafter will display that info.

Few example, entering (make sure to change {} to [] }

adkhighpeaks.com {URL=http://www.adkhighpeaks.com/46er-flash/gallery.htm}
PHOTO GALLERY{/URL} - {I}Over 900 Adirondack Photos.{/I}

will give you my signature below. That way people can link to it directly from your posts.

I suppose if there is interest, we can set up a members photo gallery sticky that provide links to members photo galleries. Is that something people would want?

I think what I'll do for now since I don't have a webpage yet is point that link to my photo gallery. When I decide that I need a webpage then I could use my signiture to point to my photo gallery.

As for the sticky, that would only apply to existing members, new members after that would not be listed. Sounds like too much work on your part.

This site is great, I just thought that my suggestion would have made it even better. But I guess we have to work within the limits of the software.
