Just a quick update before I head off on vacation with my family today... A friend and I climbed Giant and Rocky Peak Ridge yesterday for my #s 44 and 45. Rain threatened and even came down for a few minutes just as we broke out into the open areas on the Zander Scott Trail, but otherwise the weather and temperatures were quite good the whole day. We were socked in on Giant, but the clouds had blown off by the time we got to RPR. On the other hand, the wind that removed the clouds was in full force on RPR's summit! With the wind and the view it was truly exhilarating to be on the summit of my 45th High Peak. It remained overcast on high for most of the day from there, with the sun finally breaking through once we got back down below the Washbowl. A great day with maybe some more details and pictures to follow when I get back from our trip. Finishing on Allen next month!
