If by any chance you were on Mansfield last Saturday, you might've noticed a curious sight: 6 skirts and a ballet tutu. Not on their lonesome, of course. All were duly attached to a hiker.
It all started in QC when a few of us from the french forum www.fousderando.com decided to go on a girly hike. Only requirements: smiles and skirts. Guys were more than welcome if they were willing to wear skirts or kilts.:D Funny enough, none showed. Ah well.
So on a perfect day weather-wise (thank god none of that mad heat we've got at the moment in Montreal!! 42C as I'm writing this, sitting on my balcony in my swimmers!), 7 of us hiked one of the most beeyootifuull loops in the NE: up Sunset ridge, down Maple ridge. Needless to say we attracted our fair share of giggles and stares. Especially going up the tricky bits or when the wind picked up here and there...;) Loads of people on the Chin for lunch, where again we entertained the gallery by taking pictures with our bottle of bubbly and our watermelon (mix those two and you get a very refreshing drink!)
No misshaps to report, just a grand day, no bugs, tons of chitchat and the completion of my first (and maybe only) list: Mansfield 4 seasons!
I'd love to add pictures to this thread but I'm a technological moron, so you can have a peek on fousderando.com and look up CR rando- a vos jupes!
