Part 1--Blue Mtn. warm morning zero snow at start. Quickly patchy snow with plenty running water open and underneath snow. Above 2000 still plenty of snow but much runoff underneath and soft, don't get of spine.. almost wanted my snowshoes to make it better footing. Top was mostly bare, all open rocks where bare on top. Views where very nice, but far off was hazy. many poeple out today, seen about 50 people total. Glad we got early start and met half these people while going down--FANTASTIC DAY. 2hours 10 up, 1 hour down
Part 2---Bald Mtn.. On way back decided to hit Bald as it was a hop-skip and a jump tower. Totally no snow from bottom to top. Many open views all the way to the summit. Was some more windy than Blue but still enjoyable. ralaxed on the rocks overlooking the lakes:D Quick trip down and off to Old Forge for Pizza/Wings and a McSorleys..:D:drink: maybe 40 minutes up and 20 down.
