Table at 3500 Club Dinner

Hey, does anyone want to start an 'ADK High Peaks table' at the 3500 Club Dinner?

The registration form has room for 10 people to sit together.

I did the one last year, but yeah, if you want to take the reigns, by all means!

I'm of course going this year to the dinner. Harry K and possibly Spongebob may be finishing that weekend so the saturday hike is probably booked but I'm open on sunday for something.

April 8th, sometime that evening in Kingston, NY (at the Hillside on Rt 32). FYI, Harry K is considering finishing then on KHP, so the idea would be to hike that, then hit the rest area on the Thruway south and then hit the diner in Kingston, much like last year!

Lots of finishers this year too! It should be a fun time and Robert Titus is speaking at it. I read his book on the geology of the catskills which is a good read.

BTW, if we all list the same names on the registration form, that will help. (The form is in the latest Catskill Canister). The seating coordinator is well known to this little group, so I assume we will all be seated in close proximity. You can either write VFTT or ADKHP on the registration to help them out as well.

Yeah, when I did it last year, I was just requested by the seating authority to simply write VFTT on the sheet. Of course, ADKHP wasn't around then....

We might actually overflow... but we'll see

I have to check. I am going to the Coast Guard Ball in Washington DC one of those April weekends and I am not sure which one it is. Plus I also have another half marathon at the end of April that I will be training for. IF I am not in DC, I will probably head up that way for hiking and dinner

I'm in also...last year we sent in checks together...what do we do this year...I'd like to hike Sat and sunday but not KHP because i want to save that for my finish...maybe I'll try trail maintence that day....

I thought of this as well when I received The Canister last night in the mail. As Tom says, there is a space on the reservation slip where you can put your own name and the 9 others with whom you wish to be seated. Including me, we have 9 by my count, 10 if Carol makes it. That's also assuming Laurie will be with Tom?

We should maybe just go ahead and list the names on our reservation slips once we have a definite tenth. There will probably easily be another table of folks we know from this site and VFTT.

My wife and I maybe going I'm not sure yet. It's hard to plan this far ahead with the kids schedules and all. I don't think I'll go without her...plus, someone has to be somewhat flexible with me hiking every weekend! We'll see, I'd really like to make what sounds like a great gathering!

Hopefully I will be there. With I little luck I will complete the 3500 by then. I am planning to finish on Hunter, possibly the day of the dinner. I may need to take a day or two off work to get in my final seven peaks before April 8th.

Okay, I decided to register here and pipe in on this thread. As many of you know, I help out with the dinner but do not receive the actual reservations. I have let Mike know to expect reservations with ADKHP and/or VFTT on them with lists of names. I will work with him on these tables as I did last year. If you send it in and then we end up with more people and overflow, don't worry about it...as long as you have ADKHP or VFTT on it, I will work to get everyone near each other. We can work through this thread to make sure we have it set up the way you want or anyone can email me.

I've actually considered it, now that the site has grown a bit. Not sure if there would be much interest in it. I know I could get the shirts done very reasonable, that's not the issue. I just need someone real talented that would be willing to come up with a cool illistration/design to put on it (cough..... cough........ TIMMUS).

I have thoughts for it, but ther kicker is it have for the right price and I couldn't lose money on it (this site already does a number on the ole hiking account :smash: ).

If you get a count of shirts beforehand and figure everything out, and get the money up front, ( we trust you! :lol: ), you can control the profit/loss thing pretty well. And I'll take 1!
