Every time I hear or read that story, I scratch my head and wonder what Harvey Bennett was thinking when he recited Clare Boothe Luce and said "no good deed goes unpunished." What was the good deed?!?! Throwing a plastic bottle in the Atlantic?

... then again, I think it was Edward R. Murrow who said: "Anyone who isn't confused doesn't really understand the situation." I'm confused and I still don't understand. :?

Probably thinking of the converse, All bad deeds go punished! Therefore, he chastised the guy in Long Island for litering.. :)
