1.)From Burnham Rd. 2 miles up, 2 miles down. Snowshoes needed above 3100'. Lots of deer, rabbit, bobcat tracks. Started to rain on the way back. Very interesting cloud formations. Will we ever have winter? With Rockysummit.
2.) Westkill from end of Spruceton Rd. Barebootable to about 2800-2900', from there it was actually frozen hardpack and ice so I wore 6 pointers. Some views. First time in awhile I haven't been rained on at some point in the hike. Met 7 other hikers on their way down, including John C whom I had hiked with previously. Everyone was friendly and enjoying themselves, no grouches today. The temp is dropping and there is snow in the air, hurray.

Hooray, no rain for a change? Crazy winter. Somewhat limited views on Westkill? Guess it could have been a lot worse. Westkill is one of my winter favs!
